As a community resource, the Waxahachie Senior Citizens Center is uniquely qualified to develop, organize, and manage educational programs.
We have been engaged in these projects for many years.
Incorporated and received 501c(3) designation 1976 and have provided services for over 4 decades.
The center is a 23,000 square foot facility hosting many activities.
Our 1400 membership is widely diversified.
Our primary theme is education.
Waxahachie Senior Activity Center co-sponsors and teams with the Waxahachie community and surrounding area.
We set, accomplished, and exceeded our positive goals. In turn, this encourages us to develop new challenges for the Center.
Our newest challenge is to build and develop, a STEM Educational Garden to support and encourage young people’s continuing interest in science, technology, engineering and math.

The Waxahachie Senior Citizens Center, Inc was incorporated and received its 501c(3) designation on September 2, 1976. The Center has supported the senior communities of the surrounding areas for over 4 decades.
The building is a 23,000 square foot facility providing a wide array of activities for our members. The activities include health seminars, classes and expos, exercise rooms, computer learning rooms, dances, a full cafeteria, and planned field trips. The outside of the facility hosts a complete community garden, green house, and recreation areas.
Our membership is widely diversified in its ethnicity, education, religions, and interests.
Education is a primary theme of our Senior citizen community, both learning from others and sharing the wealth of knowledge seniors have to offer.
The Waxahachie Senior Activity Center co-sponsors and teams with Waxahachie schools, health organizations and other community groups to provide active learning opportunities for all.
From our beginning to the present day, we have accomplished and exceeded our goals. In turn, this encourages us to develop new challenges for the Center.
