Next Generation Education STEM Garden”
A place for the aspiring young scientist.

Mission Statement

The “STEM Education Garden’s” mission is fourfold.

(1) Educational – To encourage Science, Technology, Engineering and Math learning, by augmenting STEM initiatives in local school districts, charter school and civic groups such as the Girl Scouts of America.

(2) Educational – To improve the lives of students and homeschool families by providing trustworthy STEM information. This includes access to STEM lesson plans, curriculum and access to STEM equipment and apparatus.

(3) Social – The “Next Generation Education STEM Garden” is an innovative program that bridges the generation gap between Senior citizens and the youth. This “Inter-Generational” model provides valuable social contact with both qualified seniors teachers and students as they work together in STEM learning environments.

(4) Charitable – To provide STEM educational programs for at-risk youth by providing STEM classes, activities and programs to non-profit organizations such as the Boys and Girls club.

Project Goal

Our goal is to build and develop, STEM programs to support and encourage young people’s continuing interest in science, technology, engineering and math.

Summary Statement

This program is designed for young people, grades K-12.

Working with educational partners the “STEM Education Garden program’s” provides a fun, versatile, leaning environment that empowers students to learn topics in the fields of earth and life sciences, alternative energy, sustainability, and water and soil conservation.

The STEM Education Garden has created an educational alliance with the Waxahachie Independent School District and other individual educators throughout Waxahachie and surrounding counties.

Other members of the educational alliance include organizations such as the Waxahachie Master Gardeners, the Texas AgriLife Extension Service, Texas Master Naturalist, and more.

Working in cooperation with these educators, our classes will have the ability to range from water conservation, alternative energies use, land and soil management, food production, sustainability, botany, biology, life sciences and more.

The scope of classes is only limited to the teacher’s interest and the area of study the individual educators are focused on.
